I brought my animal in for a same day visit. The staff did not tell me there was an additional $100 fee for a same day visit, they just rang me up and didn’t give me a detailed invoice.
I have been taking my animals here for 15 years, since they changed ownership the prices are way too high and the staff doesn’t really seem to care about much. Time for a new vet I guess.
I have been bringing my cat to this vet clinic for many years, and I have been more than satisfied with the quality of care she receives. Drs.Isla, Paulson, and Franzak are the best and their support staff as well!
Extremely helpful and empathetic staff. They helped me lay my soulmate to rest. I decided to continue care with my other dog with them. The tech with the red hair (can’t remember her name) was so caring, understanding, and accommodating.
Watch for the pressure to provide additional services...like surgery!
Our small dog is quite healthy, exercises daily, is young and came in for a check-up and vaccs updates. The Vet assessed that a 'crack'_may_exist for not one, but both molars and must act now rather than later for an evasive procedure. They aggressively advised surgically removing the molars though she does not exhibit any infection, discomfort or any eating or weight problem. It did not sound logical. The extraction of BOTH molars was a red flag for me. The Vet will need to 'properly' assess via xrays, another red flag. The Vet didn't know!!! Something's wrong here.
The Vet was only "advising". They_insisted_the surgery be scheduled asap (another red flag) which they pushed to book as early as possible.
It was nerve racking and emotionally disturbing.
The estimate for the surgery was roughly $1600 + post-op
follow up visits.
We avoided the unnecessary surgery, discomfort and trauma to our healthy pet. Do not be intimidated by the Vet and influence you to make an uncomfortable and untimely decision.
Get another opinion if necessary.
This clinic takes care of our dogs and always do a great job. But when we had to put down my daughter's pet rat, it can be hard to find a vet that will handle small animals. They did a great job, were highly compassionate, and treated us so kindly. Could not recommend more.
I like that they didn't scold me for feeding my dog real food, as in home cooked. Yes, they did asked me what the ingredients consisted, as she should. But instead of making me feel incompetent, they told me it was good what I was doing, but to give less peas 🫛 because of a study that showed too much of the protein caused heart problems. At the former vet I had my dog I was told it was very risky and they absolutely went against it. They said it was because many home cooked meals for dogs do not have enough vitamins and minerals, etc. Too much of this not enough that. And they suggested to buy a brand they sold there. But Shorline vet checked my dog thoroughly, and said he was very strong and healthy, his teeth looked very nice and strong, and to keep doing whatever I was doing just watch the peas. 😋. My dog is fear reactive and I let them know as soon as they came into the room. They did exactly what they needed to do to get him to feel safe and get him to cooperate. He even let the vet pet him around his face! My dog is a Pandemic dog and was not able to socialize properly. But I have been working hard with him and he is getting better so I was happy to see that he also is less reactive as time passes. He had a positive time at the vet and I am glad. Shoreline staff knows what they are doing.
Excellent care for our dog.
I’ve been pleased with all the care we have received at Shoreline Central. Costs have been reasonable and the care has been excellent. The staff and vets have been friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. They have been easy to reach when follow up care was needed. Highly recommend
